AKC Rally is a dog sport that is very popular, offering both the dogs and handlers an experience that is fun and energizing. Rally was designed with the traditional pet owner in mind, and it is very challenging for those who enjoy higher levels of competition.
A rally course includes 10 to 20 stations, depending on the level. Communication between handler and dog is encouraged and while a perfect heel position is not required, there should be a sense of teamwork between the dog and handler. And, it’s FUN!
In this class, Novice & Intermediate Rally Signs will be introduced and teams will learn how to maneuver through full Rally courses. Whether you are just starting in Rally, or you are ready for the Novice/Intermediate level of competition, this class offers a blended approach that will be the perfect fit.
Prerequisite: Team must complete a Canine Good Citizen (or equivalent) class, or with instructor approval.
