Prerequisite: Teams must have completed NoseWork 1, 2 & 3, or with instructor approval.
This class is for teams that have completed NoseWork 1, 2 and 3. The class is applicable for those who want to improve teamwork in the sport, and we will prepare teams for competition. The class will be tailored to those teams registered and teams will stay in this class indefinitely.
The structure of the class will utilize some games to foster drive and motivation for the “hunt!”, mixed with typical skills exercises (distractions, different heights, inaccessible hides) with varying complexities. Searches for all elements including Container, Interior, Exterior, Buried, and Vehicle will be covered (weather permitting). Odors used will vary and blind hides may be used as dogs become more confident. We will also work on refining the alert signs given by your dog. We may take the show “on the road” to different locations to help the dogs generalize in novel areas.
