“Hup!” “Tunnel!” “Fly!”
The fast-paced sport of agility appeals to dog lovers, and has broad spectator appeal because great teams make it look easy! Agility is really a game you play with your dog, and it’s designed to demonstrate teamwork between a dog and handler. It is the most athletic of dog sports, and it requires conditioning, concentration, training, and FUN!
An agility course consists of a set of standard obstacles, laid out by an agility judge using a design of his or her own choosing on a roughly 100 by 100-foot area. Numbers indicate the order in which the dog must complete the obstacles. Dogs and handlers negotiate the course racing against the clock.
