Awesome Agility – Intro to Agility Workshop
1 PM – 4:30 PM
Limit 8 working teams per Session
Prerequisites: Dog must be at least 4 months old and completed all shots. Must have completed the S.T.A.R. Puppy course, OR Canine Companion, OR Canine Good Citizen course, OR have instructor approval.
This workshop is your gateway to Agility! We will cover how to train the basic actions to help your dog succeed, as well as the very important tool of rewarding your dog to encourage even better performance!
This is the perfect prep for teams wanting to find out more about Agility.
Concepts taught in this workshop include:
Dogs’ rear end awareness ● Hand targeting ● Reward (treat, toy) placement ● Start line games ●
Going under, through, over, and on top of things ● Wobble work ● “Race for reward”
